Introduction

The Research and Industrial Linkages Department UiTM Kedah is planning to organize the 1st International Conference on Arts, Social Sciences and Technology 2010 (iCAST2010) on 24^th and 25^th of February 2010 at Gurney Hotel, Penang.The main theme for this conference is, “Unveiling New Heights in Multi-disciplinary Knowledge”. More than 150 participants, as well as presenters from all sectors in Malaysia and all around the world are expected to participate in the conference. This would be a platform for all the academicians, researchers and professionals from various fields to exchange their thoughts and views, share their experiences, knowledge and expertise on issues relating to Arts, Social Sciences and Technology. Besides, this conference will also benefit the university and society at large.  

Objectives

The objectives of iCAST2010 are:

1.  to provide a platform for academicians, researchers and professionals from various fields to exchange their thoughts and views, share their experiences, knowledge and expertise on issues relating to Arts, Social Sciences and Technology.
2. to foster greater academic interactions among academicians, researchers and professionals which could enhance the production of more quality research and development.
3. to act as the catalyst for excellent academic culture that will encourage the academicians to be aggressively involved in educational activities.
